HISTORY OF PAGE WIRE ROPE & SLINGS, INC. – 1965 thru present
A.B Page SR. (better known as "Blackie") started "AB Page Inc." in
1965 in his backyard of his home. "AB Page Inc" was a small rigging
Shop with the sales of hand spliced slings, hardware, and spooling reels of
"Union Wire Rope" cable and also splicing of sand line on oilfield swab
trucks.
Four generations later, A.B. Page, Sr., (deceased); Henry 0. Page (retired),
Don Page (President), Kevin Page (Operation manager), Jacob Page (Inside
sales) with also Henry Pages daughters Kathy Laviolette (Treasurer), and
Carol Page (Secretary) is there to continue the fathers dream.
There have been many additions to the original "AB Page, Inc.". PAGE
WIRE ROPE & SLINGS, INC. is now 4 times larger with the addition of
three building to the original site. The purchasing of these building have
allowed PAGE WIRE ROPE & SLINGS, INC. to grow with the addition of
a new 350K test bed and inspection area, complete nylon sling sewing shop,
and new office and chain and hardware building.
PAGE WIRE ROPE & SLINGS, INC. has also expanded its operation
into the Shreveport area. The 10,000 square foot building is a complete
Rigging Shop, helping provide customers in North Louisiana the same
quality, service and commitment they are use to in Lafayette, La.
Now with 21 full-time employees, PAGE WIRE ROPE & SLINGS, INC.
Is even more committed to servicing the wire rope and nylon sling
fabrication, inspection, and testing, and the hardware lifting needs of our
customers.
Our prayer for the future is that PAGE WIRE ROPE & SLINGS, INC. will
Be able to serve our customers with the highest quality wire rope, slings, and
hardware needs to make lifting a safe and efficient job.
